Types of Companies

There is a wide range of options how one may establish business presence in Ukraine:

  • Private entrepreneur;
  • Private Enterprise;
  • Limited Partnership;
  • Limited Liability Company (LLC);
  • Additional Liability Company;
  • Public or Private Joint-Stock Company (PJSC or PrJSC);
  • Joint Venture;
  • Representative Office (RO).

When a foreign founder is concerned the most widespread forms for entering Ukrainian market are RO or LLC. If a foreign entity wants to buy existing business in Ukraine than either shares in LLC or PJSC may be considered or a Joint Venture may be formed.
